With all the blueberries we picked, I have been putting them in everything. Here is a great, quick, and refreshing summer quinoa salad.

Summer Nature Walk

Those of you who remember our Looking for Spring nature walk, know how much we love exploring at the New Canaan Nature Center. It is one of our ‘goto’ places when the weather is warm, or cold, and if we need to fill a couple of hours or even just 1/2 of one. We love it. So, this morning since the weather was delightful and Arthur had been requesting a walk at the Nature Center, off we went to look for signs of Summer.

Paper Mache Jellyfish

Back when I was teaching elementary science and art, I was constantly trying to find ways to integrate my curriculums. When I studied habitats with the K’s and 1st graders, the jellyfish quickly became a favorite project among the students.

Blueberry Picking and Planting

The weather has been wonderful lately. Warm with a very welcomed low humidity. Because of this, I feel we have been outside as soon as the sun comes up and running around until it is time for dinner. Yesterday, we took advantage of this glorious weather and spent the first part of the morning blueberry picking.

Chalk Letter Games
